Most entrepreneurs leave their regular corporate roles to pursue something big, but very few succeed. This is the story of Ujjwal Nargotra, who built a Rs 1 crore startup in just four months after quitting his job and now helps more than 10,000 creators grow.
The 24-year-old entrepreneur, co-founder of India’s automation platform LinkPlease, shared his journey on Instagram on how he cracked the market.
Ujjwal and his co-founder started the journey with a simple goal: solving a real problem faced by digital creatives. They began by closely observing the challenges content creators face.
Nargotra says while creators were consistently producing quality content, many were struggling to manage high volumes of direct messages and audience engagement. “Creators were posting great content but losing growth because they couldn't handle the DMs, and that's where we realised there was a massive market gap,” Nargotra said in his Instagram video.
Realising the scale of the issue, they identified a strong market opportunity in creator automation.
Building the solution
The founders decided to fully commit to solving this problem. Their goal was clear: to build the most efficient and affordable automation engine for creators.
They launched the first version of LinkPlease and made it free for creators to test and use. Instead of relying on assumptions, they continuously improved the product based on real-time user feedback.
Gradually, the platform started gaining traction. Some of the biggest creators began using it.
Scaling with real user data
With more people using it, the team focused on improving and scaling the platform. They worked quickly and kept updating it based on what users actually needed and how they behaved.
Because of this approach, LinkPlease grew fast. Today, over 10,000 creators are using the platform to automate engagement and grow on autopilot.
“Today, more than 10000 creators have grown on autopilot with Link, and now their next milestone would be from Rs 1 crore to Rs 10 crore,” Nargotra concluded.
Social media reactions
The post has gone viral, with users widely sharing their opinions.
One user wrote, “If that was Tanmay bhai with you, respect to your journey bhai!”
Another person said, “Hmm, interesting. As someone who tracks early-stage SaaS metrics, ₹1 crore in 4 months at $7.99/mo pricing implies approx 375+ paying users with strong conversion from free. Would love to see if this is verified revenue (Stripe/Razorpay dashboard) or total business value generated for clients, two very different numbers. Either way, the growth trajectory is worth watching.”
A third person added, “Really liked that you write your plans on the mirror.”
