BANK OF INDIA LIQUID FUND LEADS LIQUID MUTUAL FUNDS IN THREE-YEAR CAGR RETURNS; DELIVERS 7.0% GAIN

Among liquid mutual funds that meet the screen used for this ranking, Bank of India Liquid Fund is at the top on three-year CAGR returns. The fund delivered 7.0 percent, ahead of Franklin India Liquid Fund-Super Inst at 6.9 percent and Axis Liquid Fund at 6.9 percent, according to ACE MF data on August 10.

The ranking considers only schemes with assets under management of at least Rs 1,500 crore. Among the top five funds that meet this criterion, Axis Liquid Fund has the largest corpus at Rs 56,437.8 crore.

The benchmark comparison is also important. Bank of India Liquid Fund was ahead of its benchmark by 0.2 percentage points on a three-year basis, with the benchmark returning 6.8%. It was also ahead of its benchmark by 0.3 percentage points on a one-year basis, with the benchmark returning 6.1%.

The order changes on a one-month basis. Franklin India Liquid Fund-Super Inst delivered the strongest return among these five schemes at 0.5 percent.

The three-month ranking gives a different reading. Franklin India Liquid Fund-Super Inst is ahead on this measure with a return of 1.7 percent.

A different fund moves to the top when the one-year window is used. Franklin India Liquid Fund-Super Inst leads this comparison with 6.4 percent.

The variation across return windows shows why rankings can look different depending on the period being considered. A short-term leader may not always be the same as the fund that has done well over a longer horizon.
